Ford EcoSport - a restyled version of the second generation of the EcoSport crossover in the European version was introduced in September 2017.

The five-door received new headlights and foglights, a single grille, more textured bumpers, a tailgate without a spare wheel (optionally with an external spare wheel mount) and darkened taillights. In addition, the EcoSport is now available in select markets in a two-tone design, as well as a "sporty" ST-Line design with a matching body kit, rims and leather-combination seats.

The cabin has new seats and better materials. At the same time, the configuration of the center console has been completely changed: the climate control unit and air ducts are “stretched” horizontally, and the display of the media system (diagonal from 6.5 to 8 inches) is located on top, like a new one. "Fiestas". From the hatchback, the latest Ford product also got a dashboard with white and blue backlighting.

Drive front or full, transmissions: five-speed manual transmission and six-speed "robot" PowerShift with dual clutch:

Petrol

• three-cylinder 1.0 EcoBoost (125 hp, 170 Nm). Combined with a 5-speed "mechanics";
• four-cylinder 1.5 Ti-VCT (112 hp, 140 Nm). Combined with a 5-speed "mechanics" and a 6-speed "robot" PowerShift;

Diesel

• four-cylinder 1.5 TDCi (95 hp, 215 Nm). Works in tandem with a 5-speed "mechanics".

Serial production of the updated Ford EcoSport started in October 2017. And if the pre-styling version was delivered to Europe from India, then the reformed car can rightfully be considered European - it is assembled on the modernized assembly line of the Ford Motor plant in Romania.
