Ford Fusion - appeared in the model range of the brand in 2002. Facelift - 2005. On the conveyor "Fusion" lasted until the fall of 2012.

The car was created on the same platform with the fifth generation Ford Fiesta. To reduce the cost, many components and interior details of the models are unified. Fusion turned out to be 10 cm longer than the Fiesta, 4 cm wider and 7 cm higher. The increase in size was reflected not only in the increase in free space in the cabin, but also in the noticeably increased trunk, the volume of which in the normal state is 337 liters, and with a fully folded rear sofa - 1,137 liters.

Having appeared on sale just at the beginning of the growth in the popularity of SUVs, Fusion almost immediately became one of the most purchased models of the brand in Ukraine. Of course, the Fusion did not have an all-wheel drive system and the torque was transmitted only to the front axle, but 163 mm ground clearance, practical short overhangs and a low price compared to crossovers helped the car win the sympathy of Ukrainian buyers.

The car is offered with two petrol engines of 1.4 (80 HP) and 1.6 liters (100 HP). The base transmission is a five-speed “mechanics”, but a four-speed automatic is also available for the 100-horsepower engine.

Serial production of Ford Fusion was established at the company's plant in Germany.
