Ford S-MAX - a car that appeared in the model range of the brand in 2006. In 2010, the premiere of an updated modification took place at the Brussels Motor Show. The S-MAX received upgraded bumpers, LED daytime running lights, and full LED rear lights. The interior has also improved slightly, which, even before restyling, stood out against the background of competitors with high quality materials and assembly.
The standard Ford S-MAX is a five-seater. In this case, all three seats in the rear row can be adjusted individually. The extra two seats that are offered for a surcharge and turn the minivan into a seven-seat car eat up a little useful trunk volume, but even with them it is 285 liters. The maximum cargo capacity in a five-seater configuration is 1,171 liters. And if you leave only the driver's seat and the front passenger seat in the normal state, then the trunk volume can even be increased to 2,000 liters.
A new gasoline two-liter turbo engine of the EcoBoost family appeared in the range of power plants - 203 hp. and 300 Nm. The only possible box for him is a six-speed Powershift “robot”. In addition to the 200-horsepower engine, customers are also offered a 145-horsepower gasoline unit, paired with a five-speed “mechanics”.
Two diesel engines are also available - a volume of 2 (140 hp) and 2.2 liters (200 hp). For the first engine, you can choose both a six-speed manual transmission and a six-band “robot”. And for a 200-horsepower unit, only a robotic box is offered.
The Ford S-MAX is the European market leader in its class. The model is produced in Belgium.
