Description Ford Ranger

ford ranger - a family of mid-size rear- or all-wheel drive pickups. The European version of the model with the T6 index debuted in September 2015 at the Geneva Motor Show.

The Ranger is available with a two-door cab (Single Cab), an extended cab with rearward-opening doors (Super Cab), and a double cab (Double Cab). All versions share the same 3220mm wheelbase and suspension (double wishbones at the front and leaf springs at the rear), but differ in body length - 5277mm for the Single Cab, and 5362mm for the Super Cab and Double Cab. In addition, the length of the cargo compartment is different:

• 2317 mm for Single Cab
• 1847 mm for Super Cab
• 1549 mm for Double Cab

In Ukraine, the Ford Ranger is only available with extended and double cabs. Drive - full, with the ability to disable the front axle and low gear. 2H rear-wheel drive is available for normal roads, 4x4 High Range all-wheel drive for poorly paved roads, and 4x4 Low Range all-wheel drive for the most difficult conditions. You can switch between 4x2 and 4x4 High Range modes on the go, at speeds up to 120 km/h. Another strong point of the Ford Ranger is the ability to tow a trailer weighing up to 3.5 tons.

Ford Ranger: Single Cab, Super Cab and Double Cab

Engines exclusively turbodiesel TDCi: 2.2-liter (130 hp and 160 hp) and 3.2-liter (200 hp). Ford Ranger with 160- and 200-horsepower power units are officially presented in Ukraine:

• four-cylinder 2.2 TDCi: power 160 hp, torque 385 Nm. Combined with a mechanical six-speed Ford MT82 and a six-speed "automatic" Ford 6R80;
• five-cylinder 3.2 TDCi: power 200 hp, torque 470 Nm. Works in tandem with Ford 6R80 automatic transmission (also offered with manual transmission in some markets)

Ford Ranger: Single Cab, Super Cab and Double Cab

Ford Ranger in the basic equipment is equipped with ABS and ESP systems, a rollover prevention system, assistance with starting uphill and downhill driving, as well as a trailer sway prevention system. In addition, 6 airbags, air conditioning, power windows, a rear differential lock and an off-road package are installed: protection of the engine, transmission and fuel tank.
