Ford Focus ST - the premiere of a new generation of "charged" Focus, which is traditionally abbreviated ST (Sports Technologies) took place at the end of 2011 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Start of sales in Ukraine - October 2012.
Focus ST received a new style of the front end, an aggressive aerodynamic body kit, 18-inch wheels with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 tires, Recaro sports seats with advanced lateral support. At the rear, the Focus ST is adorned with a roof spoiler and twin exhaust pipes in the center of the bumper.
Significant adjustments have been made to the chassis. Compared to the "civilian" Ford Focus, its sports modification has a 10 mm lower suspension, upgraded steering knuckles, reinforced anti-roll bars, other shock absorbers and springs. To reduce the negative thruster effect during high-speed acceleration, the car was equipped with a steering with a variable gear ratio. The stabilization system (ESP) can work in three modes, but most importantly, it can simulate the work of a limited-slip differential, which allows the hot hatch to quickly pass even very sharp turns.
The Ford Focus ST uses a new two-liter aluminum EcoBoost engine with direct injection and a turbocharger as a power plant. Engine power is 250 hp and peak torque is 360 Nm. At the same time, 340 Nm are already available at 1,750 rpm. Acceleration to "hundreds" takes 6.7 seconds, top speed - 248 km / h. The highlight of the model is also a special membrane in the exhaust system, which improves the sporty sound of the engine and transmits it to the cabin.
