Ford Kuga 2008 - a compact crossover built on the same platform with Ford Focus And C-Max. It differs from the latter not only in its increased clearance to 188 mm, but also in the reinforced rear axle subframe. Soon the current generation will give way to the second generation Ford Kuga debuted at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

A feature of the first generation of the crossover is the back door. To load small items, only the upper glazed section can be raised, and to accommodate bulky goods, the door can be opened entirely.

The most affordable version of the Ford Kuga on the Ukrainian market is a front-wheel drive modification, which is equipped with a two-liter turbocharged diesel engine (140 hp, 320 Nm), paired with a six-speed manual.

The same engine is also offered for all-wheel drive variants, in which all-wheel drive is implemented using the fourth generation Haldex clutch, which significantly reduced the time required to transfer torque to a slipping axle. In addition, "Kuga" has an electronic imitation of cross-axle differential locks.

In addition to the 140-horsepower modification of the engine running on heavy fuel, its 163-horsepower version is available for the model. In this case, the "mechanics" gives way to a six-speed automatic.

There is only one gasoline engine - a 2.5-liter "turbo" with 200 hp, coupled with a machine gun.

The first generation Ford Kuga was produced in Germany.
