Ford Kuga - a five-seater crossover, which is also sold in the United States under the name Escape. The premiere of the second generation model took place in 2012, and in early 2016 debuted restyling version. The updated version received a hexagonal grille like Ford Edge, new hood, headlights, bumpers and other taillights. The cabin has a new climate control unit, a three-spoke steering wheel and a SYNC3 media complex with an 8-inch display (available only in higher trim levels). In addition, in some equipment levels, the handbrake “poker” was replaced with an electromechanical parking brake button.

The base is a front-wheel drive version of the Ford Kuga with a 1.5-liter EcoBoost gasoline engine and a 6-speed “mechanics”. This unit is presented in two versions - 120 hp. and 150 hp In the weakest modification, the crossover accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 12.5 seconds and consumes 7.9 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers in the city. With the 150 hp Ecoboost, 0-100 km/h takes 9.7 seconds and city fuel consumption is claimed at 7.9 l/100 km.

An alternative to "EcoBust" are 2.0-liter TDCi turbodiesel engines in modifications with a capacity of 150 hp. and 180 hp The entry-level heavy-fuel unit is available in combination with a mechanical six-speed, front or all-wheel drive, as well as a 6-speed PowerShift robot and all-wheel drive. The 180-horsepower engine is offered only with the PowerShift gearbox and AWD system. According to the passport, diesel cars consume no more than 6.0 liters per 100 kilometers in urban mode.

On all-wheel drive Kugs, an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch is capable of transmitting up to 50% of torque to the rear axle. At the same time, it works not only in the event of slipping, but also preventively, for example, during intensive acceleration, driving on slopes, and so on. Locks are simulated by braking the wheels. 

Three configurations of Ford Kuga are available in Ukraine: Trend, Business and Titanium. The basic version is equipped with wheels with steel rims and tires 235/55 R17, halogen headlights and electrically adjustable side mirrors, heating and direction indicators. In the “intermediate” configuration, roof rails are installed, the rear windows are factory tinted, alloy wheels are installed instead of steel wheels, there are LED daytime running lights, and the driver and passenger landing zone lights are mounted in the side mirrors. Top equipment can be identified by bi-xenon headlights with washers and LED taillights.
